About me.

As you may guess my name is Adam Sutton.  I am not a professional photographer, and for me at the moment it is a hobby, though one I am hoping to take more seriously.  Hence this website.  Currently I work as a Broadcast IT Systems Specialist, working as part of a team looking after the network infrastructure and IT systems for a global media company, where I am  based in central London.  Whilst I have always had some interest in photography, it became more of a hobby when I purchased my first digital SLR.  The idea being to use the camera,  get out and about more after spending a week at work in London.

I enjoy taking my camera with me when I am out and about, as it is a great way to get yourself to pay more attention to what is around you and what will make a good shot.  As well as this due to living in North Kent I am close to Brands Hatch, where having an interest in Italian cars and motorsports often brings me to races with my SLR.  As seen by the motorsports gallery.

At the start I had a Canon 300D digital SLR, which was a good introduction to more serious photography and the workings of an SLR.  Particularly with photography at Brands Hatch though, it wasn't long before I started to realise the shortcomings of the 300D for serious photography.  Notably the slow start up time and lack of decent focus tracking.  Due to this the 300D was replaced last year with the newer 40D.

I hope you enjoy looking through the photographs I have taken.

Adam.
